Bollywood's Promising Debutants of 2013

Each year a new breed of actors hit the big marquee of Hindi film industry. While some make a lasting impression and go onto becoming the superstars of tomorrow some vanish without a whimper. The year 2013 too promises to be ushering in an array of newcomers some starkids while some south sensations. Let's take a look at the superstars of tomorrow:
Sushant Singh - Kai Po Che:
He swooned millions of hearts as Manav in Balaji Telefilms' popular TV show Pavitra Rishta and after conquering the small screen the talented actor is all set to make his mark on the silver screen with his debut film Kai Po Che. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor who has the trend setting Rock On!! to his credit the film is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's best-selling novel Three Mistake Of My Life.
Ram Charan Teja - Zanjeer:
It's not every other day you see somebody daring to step into the iconic Amitabh Bachchan's shoes but South star Ram Charan Teja takes up the challenge that too in his debut itself as he makes his foray in the film industry with the remake of '70s blockbuster Zanjeer. Son of South superstar Cheranjeevi, Ram Charan Teja reprises the role of inspector Vijay Khanna that once earned Big B the tag of angry young man. Only time will tell whether the South star succeeds in the mammoth task of winning over the audience or not.
Sasha Agha - Aurangzeb:
Yet another newcomer to be launched by Yash Raj Films is Sasha Agha. Daughter of Pakistan singer turned actress Salma Agha, Sasha will be seen paired opposite Arjun Kapoor in YRF's forthcoming film Aurangzeb. Originally named Zara Agha Khan, the newbie had hit the headlines for an alleged MMS scandal where a clip allegedly featuring her and actor Ruslaan Mumtaz had gone viral.
Dhanush - Raanjhnaa:
Riding high on the success of the song 'Kolaveri Di' that became a rage across the nation almost overnight, South star Dhanush makes his foray into the Hindi film industry with a romantic film titled Raanjhnaa. Directed by Anand L Rai who has the superhit Tanu Weds Manu to his credit, Raanjhnaa will see the South sensation paired opposite starkid Sonam Kapoor.
Siddhant Kapoor - Shootout At Wadala:
Son of the veteran actor Shakti Kapoor, Siddhant Kapoor makes a crackling entry into Hindi cinema with Sanjay Gupta's highly anticipated film Shootout At Wadala. Although a bit role in the multi-starrer, Siddhant considers his impactful enough. In his very first film itself, Kapoor Jr. will be seen sharing screen space with some of the biggies from the industry like Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, and Manoj Bajpayee among others.
Rhea Chakraborty - Mere Dad Ki Maruti:
The MTV VJ turned actor hits the jackpot as she pirouettes her way into the Hindi film industry under the prestigious banner Yash Raj Films. The actress who has a Telugu film Tuneega Tuneega to her credit will be seen sharing the screen space with one film old Saqib Saleem in YRF's Mere Dad Ki Maruti.
Tamannaah Bhatia - Himmatwala:
A superstar down South, Tamannaah finally makes her entry in B-Town with a plum offer from Sajid Khan in his Himmatwala. Remake of '80s blockbuster film of the same name, Himmatwala will see Tamannaah featuring opposite the reigning superstar of Bollywood Ajay Devgn. The film is touted to be a modern take on the Jeetendra-Sridevi starrer film.
Taapsee Pannu - Chashme Buddoor
Yet another import from the South is Taapsee Pannu who will be entering the mainstream Hindi cinema with the remake of 1981 blockbuster Chasme Buddoor. Directed by the king of comedy David Dhawan, Chashme Buddoor will have Taapsee working alongside the likes of Ali Zafar and Divyendu Sharma.
