Rating don is a film full of style but it has some substance also.unlike what the critics say the film is well made and has good performances from king khan,boman irani,om puri and arjun rampal.shahrukh does justice to both the roles.please don't compare him with the big b as that movie was in the 70's and this is 21st century.this is what the present generation needs and that's why it succeeded at the box-office.priyanka chopra sizzled right through the movie.kareena was more sexier than helen and she really seduced srk as well as the audience.arjun rampal should get his due in bollywood and he really set the screen on fire as jasjit.hats of to farhan akhtar for making a stylish film.

Rating What was Farhan Akhtar thinking. I mean the movie DON was not pleasing at all. Sharukh and Priyanka and Arjun were the only thing i found in Don to give praise to. I thought that the movie was going to be great but after I watched it I found it to be stupid. The entire credit goes to Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Javed saab who gave great music. Really dissappointing

 The new DON is much better than the old DON but little bit similar due to the characters DON/Vijay(SRK),Roma(Priyanka Chopra),Ramesh(Diwakar Pundir),Singhania(Rajesh Khattar) who is a character in the new DON but was not in the old DON,Kamini(Kareena Kapoor),DON's gang members Narang and Mac(Shakeel Khan and Pawan Malhotra),DSP De Silva(Boman Irani),Malik(Om Puri),Jasjeet alias J.J.(Arjun Rampal),Anita(Isha Koppikar) etc.I watched the old DON just one day before watching the new DON.After seeing the Big B's classic DON I thought SRK won't be able to play superbly the role of new DON/Vijay but after watching the new DON I was totally wrong.The movie is about a drug smugglers gang whose boss is Singhania and Singhania's enemy is Vardhan whom nobody has seen ever before.The gang is headed by Singhania's trusted lietunant DON.An Indian police officer DSP De Silva wants to put an end to this nexus and one day during the chase between the police and DON in Mumbai,Don gets seriously injured and then DSP puts his plan into action.He finds about Vijay(dual role played by SRK) who lives with a kid named Deepu.The DSP requests Vijay to help the DSP by being DON and giving the DSP whatever information he needs.Vijay agrees when the DSP takes the responsibility of Deepu's education and his living.The DSP tells Vijay that bcoz he doesn't knows about DON's gang members so he has to pretend as if DON has lost his memory.A bizzare turn takes place when the DSP is killed during the raid and the truth that Vijay is not DON but Vijay lies buried with DSP.DON's gang member Narang and Mac want to take their revenge and so the chase begins of the police and DON's gang for Vijay and helping Vijay in this quest are Roma who had joined DON's gang to take revenge from DON for his brother Ramesh's murder by DON when he decided to leave the gang and J.J.The music is good by S-E-L(Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy).The lyrics by Javed saahab is excellent especially 'Main Hoon DON','Mourya Re','Khaike Paan Banaraswala'.My favourite scenes are:-
1.The fight scene between DON and DJ.
2.The scene where DON kills the police informer
3.The scene in which DON murders Ramesh
4.The meeting scene of DSP and Vijay where DSP tells his plan of planting Vijay as DON in DON's gang
5.The scene where J.J. meets the DSP and tells him that he'll kill the DSP
6.The scene where J.J. meets the DSP(actually the mastermind Vardhan)
7.The runaway scene of J.J. along with Deepu
8.The fight scene between Vijay and Vardhan.
9.The flashback scenes in which the death of Vijay and survival of DON is shown and Vardhan escaped through a manhole before the van's accident
My favourite dialogues are-"DON ka intezaar toh gyaarah mulkon ki police kar rahi hai lekin ek baat samajh lo DON ko pakadna mushkil hi nahin,namumkin hai" and many other dialogues.
Good work Farhan,SRK and all those who were involved in the remake of DON.
