Fantastic Movie

Rating OSO is excellent movie and Depika Podukone has done great job in her 1st movie and SRK is Brilliant superb fantastic very very very good in OSO & also good perfomance by Arjun Rampal, Kirron Kher and Sheyars Talpade.

It is Fantastc movie DONT MISS THIS SUPERB MOVIE

Rating Hi Made the biggest mistake to watch OSO. The movie is good for nothing. You can easily predict whats going to happen next. The story line is too weak to hold audience. The media has made false hype of the movie. It does not deserve any applause, except the newcommer role.

A over melodrmatic masala flick!

Rating Well, if you have decided to wait for the reviews to watch the movie, maybe you might end up waiting for long! Because you are likely to get mixed reviews.

OSO is for the audience who do not like serious films! It is a "masala" movie as most have termed it. If you like Govinda movies, you might like this one too. Light hearted comedy, making fun of the yester years, imitating the old actors mockingly, over melodrama...and over acting by Shahrukh (which is quite obvious and essential for its success). Only the power of SRK can bring half of bollywood in one single song!

Good performances indeed by everyone. But, i didnt like the movie at all. Fortunately, i didnt have great expectations from a Farah Khan movie.

The director obviously will not be concerend about the reviews, as long as it makes the moolah like this did :) I think the timing of the movie's release (along with Saawariya) helped the ticket sales more!

The lines have been drawn, the curse has been cast and the battle has begun. The so called ‘battle’ between the two giants SAAWARIYA and OM SHANTI OM has so far borne better results for the latter at the box office but whether it is a better film is the topic for another battle.

After months of high flying publicity and interviews and appearances almost everywhere that had a camera OM SHANTI OM has hit the screens and when I say hit I literally mean HIT us with a tinge of disappointment. The film raises your expectations so high during the interval that post interval the director found it almost impossible to live up to the task. One may call it a tribute to the film industry or a tribute to Karz for it starts off with Omprakash Makhija the junior artiste swaying frantically to Rishi Kapoor’s Om Shanti Om song as an extra in the film Karz. The 1st half is set in the 70s film industry known for its love affair with melodrama, overacting and fashion statements.It is replete with references that transports one 30 years back. The direction is clever and script well chalked out in the 1st half but also engages the audiences in playing ‘spot the reference’. It has everything from hideous side locks to “bhagwaan ke liye mujhe chhor de”.

The story revolves around the aspirations of Omprakash Makhija a juniour artiste in the 70s who dreams of making it big one day. Shantipriya is a superstar with whom Om is hopelessly in love. Backed by a cheeky friend and overzealous mother Om pursues his love but is killed by the wicked producer who has secretly married Shantipriya. LIGHTS COME ON AND ITS INTERVAL. Honestly speaking you wouldn’t miss much or regret it if you got up n left the hall.

It is as if Farah Khan has a rheostat attached to her creativity that automatically switches off after the interval. One gets the impression that she sat up and proclaimed that so much for her creativity,now its time to pour in the formula and make some cash. The logic defying scenes, and clumsy scripting are extremely disappointing after the film raises your expectations to the ceiling. You fall with a crash. Even if one was to accept the fact that Om Kapoor looks identical to Om Makhija because their death and birth co-incided but how does one explain the striking resemblance of the post interval Deepika Padukone to Shantipriya? The child sitting behind me in the theatre kept asking his mother every two minutes to explain the goof ups unaware of the fact that nobody can provide him with any answers.

Shah Rukh is his usual larger than life self, Kirron Kher and Shreyas Talpade are impressive, Padukone has promise to be the next big thing. But Arjun Rampal is surprisingly convincing as the evil producer. He finally seems to be getting a foothold after good performances in Don and OSO.

Just like low waist jeans which neither stay up nor fall down, OSO hangs in there.Its neither inspiring nor pathetic.Look up the definition of Timepass and you might find three words OM SHANTI OM.

I really enjoyed it!!

Rating I really enjoyed it!! It’s a typical bollywood movie but if one goes with an open mind to have a good time I think it's great!!! We had fun watching it. Shah Rukh is usual himself (but can't help liking him for his smartness) and Deepika is SEXY!
I think it’s unfair to unnecessarily be over critical on only one movie and not compare it to it’s contemporary movies. After watching typical Hindi movies which are supposed to ‘entertain you’ like ‘partner’ and ‘heyy baby’ (which bad anyway but you can’t even laugh through it!) OSO is really GOOD! I think it lives up to the expectations by being a movie which will put a smile on your face.
And I think the whole ‘controversy’ around it is unnecessary and planned.
For all those people who have decided not to watch it because you have read a bad review… I think you should watch it and decide for yourself. And for all those Shah Rukh fans, you will not be disappointed.

 OM SHANTHI OM, Big hulla gulla, zero originality, everything stolen from old movies. Use and abuse of the entire industry. O S O is a flop morally and otherwise.

Get VHS or DVDs of old movies of stars. There will be a story and a decent storytelling. Skip this noisy mess.

 I live in USA. I sometimes watch the late night comedy shows of Jay Leno, Bill Maher and many many more. Oh Boy they do not spare anyone when it comes to comedy.Stars, celebraties and even the PRESIDENTS of USA have been made fun of. I saw the movie Om Shanti Om and took it in the same spirit as one of the Late Night Comedy shows. It is a Bollywood movie after all, not a Documentary or a History Lesson. This movie is for people with an open heart, and a positive attitude.
