 Mr.Emess Dubai,dont live in a fools paradise.Be objective.Trumpeting from the rooftops that Mammootty is better than Mohanlal is not going to earn you any points.Infact it just shows u in poor light.It shows your ignorance and your partisan viewpoint.What did u say Mammootty has only one mega flop-Bhargavacharitham? !!!! Bizaare and funny.What do u call maayabazaar,Dubai,Parunthu,Love in Singapore,Prajapathi etc etc...... These are epic flops.Dubai is still the biggest flop ever in Malayalam film history.An actor like Mohanlal doesnt need a certificate from an ignorant and moronic guy like u.Just remember what KG George said about Lal."I have worked with many great actors,but I couldnt work with Mohanlal,still I would say that I havent seen an actor of his brilliance.I still look at awe at his magical performance in NO 20 Madras mail,which actor can perform with such panache? He is simply classy" . Remember KG George directed many films with Mammootty,still he tells the truth.MR.Emess acting is not voice modulation alone or a lot of make up.Remember Lals unbelievable performance in Maayamayooram.Its a double role,but will u find any resemblance between the two characters,they are as different as chalk and cheese.Thats brilliance not the kind of horrendous performance in Dadashaib.Do u call it acting.My word your analytical skills are appalling!!! Earlier some people used to say that Lal wont shine in an army role.Even Mohanlal fans doubted his ability to play such a role,mainly because of his rather poor physical appearance.But what did he do? He came out with thunderous performance in Keerthichakra and Kurukshethra.Now no one has anything to say.It is not due to his political influence that he got LT.Col.But due to his ability to walk into that role with such ease.See I agree that Mammootty is a good actor,it is not as if he is the worst actor ever.He is brilliant in his territory.Agreed Mammootty is better suited for the roles like the one in Pazhassi Raja or Vadakkan veeragatha.It is not because of any limitation in Lals acting prowess in enacting such a role that he i s overlooked for such roles.His appearance.... thats the issue.We cant visualise a man like Lal with slight pot belly and a not so well toned body to enact such roles.Thats a problem,we acknowledge it.He had to take care of his physique.Thats a big mistake from his part.Thats where Mammootty is streets ahead of Lal.He knows his acting limitations.He knows that it is his physique that is his greatest asset.He takes care of taht diligently and the results are obvious,he still looks handsome and young.But these are not the yardsticks of acting.U know what Maniratnam said about Lal.He said it will be very difficult for him to work with La again.Because being his fan he may fail to extract the best from him.We saw after all the magic of Lal in Iruvar.Incomparable!!!!! He missed the national award for that due to a technical error of the jury.What the hell did Mammootty do in Babasaheb Ambedkar to win a national award.It was just a political award.Lal is the actor who was in the last round of National awards.He won two best actor awards and a special mention,thats not a bad thing given the fact that he didnt act in even half as many number of so called parallel cinema as Mammootty.U talk of decline in Lals acting.Have U seen Pakalnakshatrangal and Bhramaram.Mammootty lost out to Mohanlal for the best actor award in this years gulf award.HIs much vaunted performance in Pazhassi was humbled by the sheer brilliance of Lal in Bharamaram,although Pazhassi was a much better movie than Bharamaram.It is not Lals fault that he is not getting good movies.Mammoottys good fortune and ability to self market is landing him in good projects.Agreed Lals script selection leaves much to be desired...STill he is street aheads of mammootty in sheer prowess.HOWEVER long may Mammootty act,he can never aspire to reach the pinnacle that Lal has already reached.Fools like u can write crores of biased analysis ,but the fact is fact...................

 I havent read a more stupid analysis than that of Emess.A man can be biase but not to this extent.What did Adoor Gopalakrishnan say> Mohanlal is the finest actor ever in Malayalam cinema.Anyway I am not going to analyse the way mr emess did.It is madness.Everyone knows who is the better actor.It is Lal .He is way ahead of Mammootty.What the hell did Mr Mammootty do in Pazhassi.He is simply outplayed by Sarath kumar.Mammootty s strength is his good physique and deep voice.But Lal despite having such a poor physique and shallow voice is working wonders just through his immense talent.Mammooty is a hard worker who puts in a lot of hard work and homework.Lal doesnt need that he simply walks into a role.EE pattanathil Bhootham a super hit!!!!!! Biggest joke in the history.Thuruppugulan a nice performance.It will induce vomitting.The worst performance by an actor.Why should Lal envy about Vadakkan veeragatha.Mammootty did it well thats ok.Nothing extraordinary.But Lals performance in Iruvar is world class.Mammootty will never be able to think about it.Who told you that Mammootty got six state awards.He got only four.Lal won it seven times.Mammootty defeated LAL in the national award funny!!!! EVn Mithun chakraborthy won it three times.Nedumudi Venu who is miles better than Mammootty never won it.Is it a criteria. everybody knows who has got more hits.Mentioning all maammootty hits and highlighting even disasters as hit wont do your cause any good.DOnt be blind mr Emess.your analysis is pathetic .Mammootty is just an average actor.He wont come in hte list of great actors.I know u are desperate to prove otherwise.Its foolish.get lost with your rubbish analysis.........

Silly people are those who compare lal and mammu

 i see people coming here to fight and prove their biased opinions, while faking to be a fan of one and then maligning him. lal and mammu are the best not only in malayalam, but the best in the country. i see someone give a huge list of malayalam movies, and giving credit to mammu because he has done more films.......if that's the base, then Prem Nazir did 700 odd films, was he the best talent than Sathyan sir. lets not talk of the national awards, whch are mostly biased towards north. many deserved actors never one a single award. Some fans says Mammu is doing joker roles. Sincerely, all of you are out of your mind. How can you compare compare actors, so beautifully talented like these two, when the fact is that after 30 years in cinema, they both are going strong? Its like people who couldn't even hold a bat commenting on Sachin's talent. You guys are looking at box office success, do you think box office always says the truth? if that was the case Lal and Mammu had the most box office failures than any others, yet why do producers still bank of them? They might be crazy isn't it? They both did silly and stupid movies in the lifetime, do you blame them. Do you know many times actors do act in films made by friends and mentor, on emotional attachment towards them, and not counting on the script? Yes, sometimes, they make genuine mistakes with scripts and directors. But, then who doesn't make, look at Kamal, he has been a disaster since so many years......does it take away his talent? There were times when mammu used to have hits on the back of "Baby Shalini". He did absolutely nothing, but people flocked to see her. There was a period when Lal did silly roles, after success of "Aaram Thampuram", like "Thandavam" etc., which were all silly and repetitive..... They both still do silly films and will do in future, and there are many factors for that. The biggest failure is not these two actors, but genuine script and great directors. The films that made Lal and Mammu were directed by brilliant directors. Can today's directors match them even by an iota? A films success is team work, you need a good script, great director, natural actors etc, which makes it success.. What we lack are all these.......even though Lal and Mammu is still there, they are too mature for every roles, then there are these half-baked scripts, which doesnt have any head and tail, and actors who only look camera perfect and like to just dance around..... Hence, whoever here is questioning Mammu and Lal, brace yourself, cuz none of the current actors can come close to them,,,,,and its just a matter of time, before you see both of them doing greater roles in future.
