Kathaveedu  (2013)  (Malayalam)
Sohanlal through his 'Kathaveedu' tries to convey the realistic state of husband-wife relationship which appears to be a smooth and pleasant one to the outside world. Many so called fair marital relationships are really the resting place of misunderstandings and discomforts.

The characters of M T, Basheer, and Madhavikkutty come together in 'Kathaveedu' which plots how Raj Karthik (Kunchacko Boban) arrives at a decision whether to get married or not based on his perception of the experiences of three married couples.

Raj Karthik is a graduate from a Film Institute in North India. He falls in love with Jina (Kavya Madhavan) who is a news editor in a channel. But before getting married, Raj Karthik makes a journey to find out the depth of married relationships.

His first choice is the family of Khader (Manoj K Jayan) and Jameela (Mallika) who do textile business. Kadher is an innocent and henpecked husband .The second family is that of Balachandran (Biju Menon) who leads a lonely life completely engrossed in the thoughts of his wife.

The third family is that of Rtd Major Frederick (Lal) and his wife Rita (Rituparnasen Gupta). Their son is pursuing his education abroad. Major Frederick is suspicious about his beautiful wife.

When Raj Karthik gets attached with these families, there break through a serious issue which plots the rest of the story.

Ganeshkumar and Krishna Prasad are also cast in important roles. M Jayachandran tunes music for the lyrics of O N V and Sohanlal. T D Sreenivas is the cinematographer. Jose Thomas produces the movie under the banner of Visual Dreams Private Limited.
