"Athu Oru Kanaa Kaalam"'s music is full of remarkable orchestration, melodious music and soft lyrics. It indeed carries a touch of Ilayaraja.

Amongst today's peppy music with nonsense lyrics as seen in most films, this can be regarded a treat for music lovers.

1) Antha Naal Nyabakam (Vijay Yesudas, Shreya Ghosal)
The tempo of the song is that of leisure and the song gives a soft romantic feeling. It involves very little orchestration. The song is pleasant and soothes one's ears.

2) Ennada Ninaicha (Ranjith, Vijay Yesudas)
It is a 'dappanguthu' number. The number begins promisingly, but goes haywire.

3) Kaattu Vazhi Nadaiya (Illayaraja)
The song involves a nasally haunting voice of the maestro combined with an excellent violin.

4) Killi Thattu Killi (Bhavatharini, Jyothi)
The song is soft, slow and melodious.

5) Unnalae Thookam (Ranjith, Malathy)
This song is a fusion of rural and western music and thereby sounds different.

'Athu Oru Kanaa Kaalam', album is worth buying.
