Cinematographer and director Balu Mahendra is back with "Adhu Oru Kanaa Kaalam" after a long gap. "Adhu Oru Kanaa Kaalam" has Dhanush and Priyamani in the lead roles.
Apart from direction, Balu Mahendra pens the story and screenplay, wields the camera and does editing too. The film depicts the life of a youth between 16-21 years and the various problems faced by him during that age. It is a period where the youth spends most of their time in dreams and does not know the seriousness of life. He encounters reality, only when he crosses this period.
Dhanush plays Cheenu an unemployed graduate on the hunt for a job. Priyamani is a plus-2 student. Dhanush's father, like the rest, wants the best for his son. But, some of his moves backfire and lead to an unfortunate result. The rest is how the youth overcomes it. Karunas, Delhi Ganesh, Thalaivaasal Vijay, Shanmuharajan, Kalairani and Koushik play the supporting cast. Ilayaraja has composed the music while J.K. designed the sets. Rambo Rajkumar is the stunt master. K.A. Sai Chidambaram produces the film under the banner Vishwa Films. The film is almost complete and will be released in July.
