Sudharil Sudhan is a film that revolves around Ramankutty's struggles in the party as well as his family. Ramankutty (Indrans) is an estate worker who works in the high range for daily wages. In spite of finding it very difficult to make both ends meet, Ramankutty holds a political ideology close to his heart. When the party announces a strike against Ramankutty's estate management, Ramankutty is forced to lead the fight against the management. The strike continues for several days, leaving his family in misery and starvation. The film chronicles the man's travails and tribulations.
