Produced under the banner of Cinema Movies, 'Pramukhan' tells the story of the fight that a bold police officer wages against the sand mining mafia. Tomy Sebastian, a bold and upright Sub Inspector of Police, is frequently transferred from one place to another just because there are people who don't like his presence.
Because of his uncompromising stand against the sand mining mafia he is transferred to a rural area. But the ever vigilant Tomy finds new adversaries there too. He finds enemies in people representing the sand mining mafia, who also tend to exploit poor workers of the locality. Prominent among Tomy's enemies is Kannan, a young guy who has his sway over the people around him.
It's from here that the story or 'Pramukhan' takes off. While Kalabhavan Mani becomes Tomy Sebastian, it's debutante Ajith Raj who does the role of Kannan. Pooja plays the female lead role, that of Kannan's lover. 'Pramukhan' will be brought to the theatres by Unique Cinemas.
