'Black Dahlia', the debut directorial venture by actor and advocate Baburaj, is an investigative thriller which has Vani Viswanath in the lead role. Vani Viswanath has donned the khaki uniform a number of times already in Malayalam. Incidentally, she is also the director's wife.
The action of the movie revolves around a medical college named Sacred Heart Medical College. A student of the college is found murdered under mysterious circumstances. The Police begin the probe but soon two more girls are found murdered in the college campus. The public reacts with demonstrations against the police as well as the government. It is at this stage that Daisy Vincent IPS comes in, taking charge of the investigation.
Daisy Vincent begins her investigation and it leads her from one tangle to another. This constitutes the plot of 'Black Dahlia', in which Vani Viswanath becomes Daisy Vincent. Baburaj plays a key role too while Suresh Gopi is cast as a narco-analyst. The film is produced under the banner of M.K. Productions and is almost ready for release.
