'Oru Black and White Kudumbam', directed by debutant Shaiju Anthikkad, is an entertainer that narrates the story of a family, known to all around them as a 'Black and White family'. Antony, who is a driver and a farmer, marries Lakshmi, an heiress to a family with royal lineage. They have a son, whom they name Aditya Varma. Antony, whose hopes are pinned on his son, educates him as much as possible. Aditya thus studies up to MBA.
Since Antony is dark in complexion and Lakshmi and Aditya are fair, people around refer to them as the 'Black and White Kudumbam'. Circumstances lead this happy family into a financial crisis, as a result of which Aditya Varma goes looking for a job. He joins the Minnu's Group of Companies, owned by Ananda Varma, whose daughter Minnu is the one who looks after the business.
Aditya then gets his father and his mother appointed in the same company, but without telling anyone that they are his parents. Thus the 'Black and White family', though they work in the same company, have to behave before others as total strangers to one another.
In the meantime Aditya Varma and Minnu get closer to each other and fall in love. Thus develops the story of 'Oru Black and White Kudumbam', in which Jayasurya becomes Aditya Varma, Bhama becomes Minnu, Kalabhavan Mani becomes Antony and Vinayaprasad becomes Lakshmi. The film is getting ready for release this summer.
