'Nallavan' has already gained public attention with Jayasurya sporting four different looks for the film.
The young actor plays Kocherukkan, a boy who was born and brought up in a village in Tamil Nadu. As a young man who is barely twenty years old, Jayasurya would be seen in the film sporting curly long hair.
In the second phase of his life, he returns from jail with his hair cropped. In the third avatar, he grows a beard and walrus moustache. And for certain very crucial scenes in the film, the actor had gone ahead and done the unthinkable; tonsured his head!
In 'Nallavan', Manickyam Maithili plays Malli, Kocherukkan's childhood sweetheart. They work as servants in the houses of two big landlords of neighboring villages. Kocherukkan would arrive at night to see Malli and they would go for a second show at the village talkies. Their dreams are shattered when Kocherukkan gets involved in a crime and is sent to jail.
'Nallavan' is directed by Aji John, an editor with Amrita TV. Ajith Nambiar, a program producer with Amrita TV is the script writer.
Besides Jayasurya and Maithili, the film also has a huge supporting cast with names as Saikumar, Shammi Thilakan, Suraj, Salimkumar, Maniyanpilla Raju, Sudheesh, Bijukuttan, Jayan, Vanitha Krishnachandran, Sona Nair, Prakash Paul, Kollam Ajith, Nash, Baby Jaisy, Baby Aparna and Master Siril.
'Nallavan' is being produced by Anil Mathew and S Murukan under the banner of Bethestha Productions.
