Sasi Ayyanchira is a known name in Malayalam films as a producer. He has produced eight films in Malayalam including films like 'The Tiger' and 'Mission 90 Days' and 'Ammanilaavu' would be his ninth film.
The only difference that 'Ammanilaavu' has from the rest of his films is that Sasi himself makes his debut as the leading actor in 'Ammanilaavu'.
Sasi Ayyanchira says that he has taken this decision after being fed up of running after stars for his new film.
Sasi plays an honest cop Adiram in the film. Mallika plays his wife Neeraja. Adiram's life goes for a toss when he has to murder his own wife.
There are also other actors like Aparna, Tara Kalyan, Balachandran Chullikkadu, Saran, Kochu Preman, Vijith, Suraj Venjarammoodu and Jagathy Sreekumar in the film.
'Ammanilaavu' has been directed by M D Rajendran who has also written the lyrics and composed the music for the film. K J Yesudas, Vishnu Rajendran, Rahul Lakshmanan, M D Rajendran Renjini Haridas, Simla Menon, Amrutha Suresh and Kavitha Jayaram are the singers.
The script is by M D Ajayaghosh.
The film that has completed its shooting would be a July release.
