Mazhai is directed by RajKumar and is produced by SPB Charan and S P Balasubramaniam. Devi Sri Prasad has scored the tunes for the film.
1) Nee Varumbhodu
The song has a folk touch. The tune of the song is simple and the orchestration is mind-blowing.
2) Thappe Ille
SP Balasubramaniam combines with young Harini. The song is youthful and is full of life. On the whole it is a raunchy number.
3) Isthanbul
The song is racy and has enigmatic instrumentation. It is high pitched number.
4) Mannile
This is a romantic number of the film. The orchestration is well moderated, and is brilliant in some places.
5) Kuchikaruvadu
The song is energy-filled. The lyrics are inane.
6) Muthu Mazhaiye
The song has a beautiful slow cadence. It's very soothing for the ears.
Overall, Devi Sri Prasad seems to have delivered a good album.
