Former assistant director of Venkat Prabhu, Ranjith, believes people who live in the suburbs have their own culture, language and lifestyle. He claims that his debut venture, Attakathi, set in North Chennai brings out the light-hearted nature of its people.
Dinesh, of Aadukalam and Mounaguru, plays the lead role while Swetha, Nanditha and a few other newcomers play his love interests. Santhosh Narayan, the music director who had composed tunes for the award-winning Tollywood flick Advaitam has done the background music for Attakathi.
Thirukumaran Entertainments produced the film, which will have its release on August 15th, 2012.
