Lakshmi Ramakrishnan, who has been cast repeatedly in the roles of mothers, makes her directorial debut with Aarohanam, which she calls, an ode to motherhood.
The story is about a 17-year old boy who finds his mother missing after returning, one evening, from school. Making matters worse is that his sister's wedding is just ten days away. So, the brother-sister duo go in search of their mother.
Aarohanam starring Jayaprakash, Uma Padmanabhan, Sampath Raj and a horde of newcomers, is set to hit screens on the 14th of September.
