Lokpal is an action thriller which has a unique and different theme. Nandagopal is a chef who runs Nandu’s Food Court. People love both Nandagopal and his food court. Nandagopal at times appear as the Lokpal who becomes a headache to corrupt people in all spheres. He will reach at any place in any form in order to attain his goals. Many political and social leaders and even the police officers are disturbed because of Lokpal. His ways are so sharp and dexterous that no one gets to catch him. Though the film is a political thriller, it also has lighter moments with the right amount of humor. How Nandagopal becomes Lokpal? The film unwinds the relation between Nandagopal and Lokpal in the light of burning issues of social relevance. Kavya Madhavan who is the heroine dons Dr Gita. T G Ravi becomes Satyanweshi Mukundan Menon who strongly fights against injustice. Tamil actor Thambi Ramaiah appears as a police officer. Meera Nandan who is a channel reporter also has an important role to do. Saikumar, Manoj K Jayan, Krishnakumar, Shammy Thilakan are the supporting cast. S N Swamy writes the script and Rathesh Vega composes music for the songs of Rafeeq Ahmed. Vijayans and S L Vimalkumar produce the film under the banner of Happy and Ruby Cinemas. Pradeep Nair is in charge of the camera.
