New Delhi, March 25 (IANS) The situation has not changed much this week. Despite new entrants and some re-entries, A.R. Rahman's "Barso re" from "Guru" still holds the top slot.
The top 10 Hindi film songs for the week are:
1. "Barso re" - Film: "Guru"; Music Director: A.R. Rahman; Singer: Shreya Ghoshal. The hugely popular song about welcoming the rains and featuring Aishwarya Rai retains its premier position this week too.
2. "Maula mere" - Film: "Anwar"; Music Director: Mithoon; Singer: Roop Kumar Rathod. The Sufi number laced with romance is moving up and down the list.
3. "Rozana" - Film: "Nishabd"; Music Director: Vishal Bharadwaj; Singer: Amitabh Bachchan. "Rozana", an awesomely romantic and sensuous number, has taken a good leap and landed on number three from number nine.
4. "Chakna" - Film: "Namastey London"; Music Director: Himesh Reshammiya; Singer: Himesh Reshammiya. "Chakna chakna" is a dance number already doing the rounds in discotheques. It's a perfect example of Reshammiya trying to retain his original style in a new fashion.
5. "Saiyaan re" - Film: "Salaam-e-Ishq"; Music Director: Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy; Singers: Shilpa, Shankar Mahadevan, Loy Mendonsa. A fusion of Indo-Western music, the song with a qawalli touch is a treat to watch. It has moved up five notches this week.
6. "Aayo ri sakhi" - Film: "Water"; Music Director: A.R. Rahman; Singer: Sukhwinder Singh. A semi-classical song, it shows singer Sukhwinder's versatility and gels with the film's mood.
7. "Dilli" - Film: "Delhii Heights"; Music Director: Rabbi Shergill; Singer: Rabbi Shergill. The foot-tapping beats and Shergill's capturing voice make "Dilli" an above average number and quite apt for the movie. The song is surely meant for Delhiites.
