There has been no news about actor Bharat for a long time __ nine months. He went into a shell after his last release ('Vaanam' in which he teamed up with Simbu) failed to click. After self-introspection, he has redrawn his career path to get back with a bang. He had been doing three to four films a year. Now he will pick and choose even if it means waiting indefinitely for a good script to come his way. He will now be content with doing one film a year investing in it all his time and energy. His long wait has been rewarded.
He has signed a film titled '555' to be directed by Sasi of 'Poo' fame. He has not signed any other project and he will devote all his time to '555' in which, he says, he has immense faith. He is optimistic that this film will give him a big break. He badly needs this break considering that his last couple of quickies did not help him much to keep pace with his contemporaries. And, he has fallen back.
In an interview, Bharat says, "After my last film which did not do well at the BO, I took time and analyzed the situation. I realized I needed a big break in my career __ a sure-shot winner. It was then I decided I should next work only on a film I totally believed in, even if that meant waiting for six to eight months for a good script. Then, 555 happened."
According to him, the '555' script is 'unique' and director Sasi is trying his hand at an action thriller for the first time. He has been working on it for the last four years. The story is inspired by a real life incident.
Bharat says the three-digit number 555 is crucial to the storyline. Bharat will have two different looks in the film. He plays software professional and Santhanam plays his brother. Chandini from the US plays the heroine. Santhanam's role is much more than providing comedy; it is an important role.
