• Los Angeles, Feb 27 (IANS) Silent black and white film "The Artist" won an Academy Award in the best costume design category, while Meryl Streep-starrer "The Iron Lady" took home the golden statuette for the best makeup.
  
  Mark Bridges received the award for "The Artist", and Mark Coulier and J. Roy Helland collected the trophy for "The Iron Lady", in which Streep reprised the role of former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher.
