- Cochin, July.15 (NR): Remember Anjali? She is the actress who shot to fame after her role in 'Angadi Theru', directed by 'Veyyil' Vasanthabalan was well appreciated.
Now she would make a grand entry into Malayalam films as Jayasurya's heroine in the film 'Payyans'.
'Payyans' would be directed by Leo Thaddeus who had earlier directed 'Pachamarathanalil'.
The pooja of the film was recently held at Sarovaram, Kochi, where Resul Pookkutty lighted the lamp.
Anjali is known for her dedication to her role. She had shed several kilos and had almost burned herself in the sun to get darker, as demanded by the role in 'Angaditheru'.
She is also working on a couple of Telugu projects. When the role in 'Payyans' came her way, she grabbed it with great enthusiasm, as the actress hopes that the film would pave the way for a brilliant career in Malluwood.
