• Debutant director Prasanth Mampilly creates a record of sorts by completing the shooting of a commercial production within 17 hours.
  
  The film titled Bhagawan, which has Mohanlal in the lead, tells the story of how a hospital was hijacked by terrorists and how Dr. Balagopal (Mohanlal) single-handedly rescues the inmates. The film had 11 people supporting the director, including four associate directors. Ace cameraman Loknath had seven cameras running while shooting the film. Four units worked simultaneously to complete the shooting.
  
  The cast includes Lakshmi Gopalasamy, Tamil actor Balaji, Sudheesh, Sreejith Ravi, Sreenath, Ibrahimkutty, Anu Anand, Dr. Rony, Shivaji Guruvayoor, Shafna, Lena, Nanda Palatt, Sreelatha etc. Bhagawan is produced by Vijeesh Mani under the banner of Anaswara Cinemas. The director himself does the screenplay for the film. The lyrics are penned by Girish Puthencherry, Anil Panachooran, Jophi Tharakan, Rajeev Alumkal and Murukan Kattakkada. Music is by Joji Johnson, Muralikrishnan and Ajith Sukumar. The songs are rendered by KJ Yesudas, MG Sreekumar and Chithra.
