• The Mammootty-starrer Big B is to find its way to Tamil Nadu, in a Tamil-dubbed version, which will be released with a new name - Maanik Basha. Big B was the debut directorial venture of Amal Neerad, who had earlier cranked the camera for Bollywood films like James and Darna Zaroori Hai and also for the Malayalam movie Black.
  
  Amal is now on to his second directorial venture, Sagar Alias Jackie, shoot for which is in progress. It seems that the decision to release the Tamil version has come up as Mammootty films have a safe market in Tamil Nadu.
  
  Besides Mammootty the film has Nafisa Ali, Manoj K. Jayan, Bala, Pasupathy, Vijayaraghavan, Mamta Mohandas, Manasa, Sherveer Vakil etc. in key roles.
