Cochin, Mar.8 (NR): There wouldn't be a Malayali around who hasn't browsed through the pages of
Bobanum Moliyum
, the cartoon magazine that has been a rage with readers for several years now.
The creator of Boban and Moli, cartoonist Toms is now venturing into films. Toms, in a press conference last week revealed that the film would have Boban and Moli arriving at a Panchayat and becoming involved in the happenings there. The trademark humor that makes the siblings so dear, would be faithfully maintained.
The story, script and dialogues of the film would be jointly written by Toms and Vijayakumar Thiruvalla. The film would be directed by Vijayakumar.
The cast of the film has not yet been finalized. Readers can be a part of the film making process too. Readers have been invited to send in creative ideas that involve Boban, Moli, Unnikuttan, Chettan, Chettathi, Pothan Vakeel, Appi Hippy and other characters to Kalamandir Arts, No.1239, Bavas Buildings, Krishnaswamy Road, Cochin - 35. Prize winners would receive a free yearly subscription to the cartoon magazine, and also opportunities to get involved in the film.
