• Kochi, Nov 15 (IANS) Two new releases - "Chakkaramuthu" and "Vasthavam" - change this list a bit, with the former emerging as the top film of the fortnight.
  
  The top five Malayalam films are:
  
  1. "Chakkaramuthu" - Actor Dileep was bound to charm the audiences as a retarded character. The treatment of the character in the film by director Lohithadas may be questionable, but that does not stop the film from topping this list.
  
  2. "Classmates" - Director Lal Jose is riding the crest with the film's stupendous success and may soon bag a couple of prestigious projects.
  
  3. "Vasthavam" - Prithviraj and Padmakumar unite after the critical success of "Vargam" in this realistic film. It remains to be seen how far they can take it.
  
  4. "Pothen Vava" - Mammootty's festive release, directed by veteran Joshiy, with Usha Uthup as his mother is a real treat for his fans.
  
  5. "Bada Dosth" - Suresh Gopi plays a cop-turned don in this film, which is directed by Viji Thampy. Siddique gets a lot of mileage in this film as the villain.
