• Cochin, Jan.20 (NR): Actor Vijaya Kumar has been sentenced to three months in prison and a fine of one lakh seventy thousand rupees by the Aluva High Court.
  
  The court gave the verdict today morning on a case filed by a resident of Thrikkakara, in which she accused that Vijaya Kumar had falsely grabbed five lakhs rupees from her, by offering her a job in the US that never materialised.
  
  The court has granted one month's time for the actor to appeal to a higher court.
  
  Vijaya Kumar has acted in several Malayalam films that includes the hugely successful 'Thalashtanam' in which he played the major lead. He would also be seen in 'Drona', the Mammootty film expected to release next week.
