Cochin, Nov.1 (NR): Jayasurya has signed up for the lead role in Sohanlal's upcoming film 'Jihad'. Sohanlal is all set to follow his critically appreciated film 'Orkkuka Vallapozhum' with 'Jihad'.

Deedi Damodaran scripts this film. Deedi had earlier scripted Jayaraj's 'Gulmohar', and recently Revathy's short film 'Makal' that forms part of the 'Kerala Cafe' anthology.

Jayasurya would don the role of Parvesh in the film, an intense role that demands his acting prowess to the maximum. The film would be produced under the banner of Silicon Media by Prakash Bare and Thampi Antony.
