• Kochi, May 18 (IANS) "Balram Vs Tharadas" that features Mammootty in a double role continues to pull in the crowds with no significant activity in the industry after the hectic Vishu season.
  
  The top five Malayalam films are:
  
  1. "Balram Vs Tharadas": It was the most anticipated film of the year with a lavish budget and Mammootty in a double role. Directed by veteran I.V. Sasi, this film is drawing huge crowds.
  
  2. "Rasathantram": A Vishu gift for Mohanlal from his fans, that's what the star says about the success of this film where he is paired with Meera Jasmine for the first time; their on-screen chemistry itself is worth the price of the ticket.
  
  3. "Pachakuthira": Dileep has time and again proved he can be successful on his own terms. Here again, it comes true. Directed by his mentor Kamal, this film has Dileep playing a mentally challenged person.
  
  4. "Thuruppu Gulan": His detractors may say Mammootty is catering to the gallery by doing such roles, but the verdict of the box office is clearly different.
