Thiruvananthapuram, Oct.16 (NR): Hariharan's magnum opus 'Pazhassi Raja' finally makes it to the theatres today, after putting off its release atleast a couple of times.

The kind of anticipation that the film has generated is something that Malayalam cinema has not seen much. Advance reservation for the film had started two days back, and in a centre like Thiruvananthapuram, film goers would have to wait atleast till Monday to get a balcony seat, with reservation full till Sunday. This is despite the fact that the film is being released in four major theatres in Thiruvananthapuram.

Fans of the actor had conducted a 'Vilambara Ghoshayatra' yesterday in the city to announce the arrival of the film.

'Pazhassi Raja' is being released in 130 screens across the state. The biggest release ever for a Malayalam film, the film is expected to be a brilliant tribute to the martyr chieftain who had refused to bow down before the British.
