Thilakan to offer explanation to AMMA

  • Cochin, Mar.7 (NR): Actor Thilakan who has been asked by AMMA to offer an explanation for the controversy that he had generated in the last few weeks would do so today.

    Thilakan is reported to offer an explanation through a special messenger to AMMA.

    The allegations that the actor had levelled against the association have been several. Thilakan had lashed out against AMMA, alleging that it was a mafia organisation. He had also lashed out against the superstars saying that one superstar in particular was against his being thrown out of the Joshey film 'Christian Brothers'.

    AMMA had retaliated with equal strength and had asked the actor to apologise. He was also asked to appear before the disciplinary committee of the association on March 1. Thilakan had refused saying that he was busy with the shoot of 'Dam 999', his Hollywood project.

    Follwing this, AMMA had granted Thilakan a week's time till March 8th to offer en explanation, failing which disciplinary action might be taken against the actor.
