- The 'Dheiva Thirumagan' crew sets in a new title again. The anti-slogan protests organized by a particular community people have forced the makers of Vikram starrer 'Dheiva Thirumagan' to change the title. As per the new announcement, the film will now be called as 'Vikramin Dheiva Thirumagal'.
About 30 members of 'Thevar Ilaignar Peravai' were arrested when they staged a demonstration in front of Vikram's residence in Besant Nagar demanding that the name of his latest film should be changed. Police said the members assembled in front of the Vikram's Thiruvanmiyur residence and staged the agitation. They were objecting to the title 'Dheiva Thirumagan', which they feel had hurt the sentiments of the Thevar community. They claimed that freedom fighter Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar was called as 'Dheiva Thirumagan' and demanded that the name of the movie be changed.
Following this, the Tamil Film Producers Council made a statement that the film's title has been changed as ''Vikramin Dheiva Thirumagal'. It further said, ''understanding the sentiments of those who were hurt by the film's title, producer Mogan Natrajan has come forward to change it''.
