PS  [ Wed, Jun 29, 2011 ]
  • It seems 'Aaranya Kaandam', might set a precedent in Kollywood in more ways than one.

The flick, directed by debutant Thiagarajan Kumararaja , which won accolades from both critics and audiences alike, is now waiting in the wings of melody. The original soundtrack from the film, composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, which comprises several mood pieces, ambient tracks and situational punctuation tunes, is said to be awaiting release in a few weeks time.

While speaking about the novel initiative , which is said to be a first of sorts in Tamil films, the director says, 'the album contains pieces of music that have been spread across the film in key scenes. One of my personal favourites includes the flamenco track played during the standoff between Pasupathy and Gajendran. I also love the piece played during the chase scene involving the father and son. Once the producer gives the go-ahead , the soundtrack will be out,'.
