I don't need a flag for my fans association, says Suriya

  • Suriya does not need a flag for his fans association to expand its base. The actor stated this at a press meet post '7am Arivuru'.

Suriya's statement comes on the heels of the success of '7am Arivu' directed by A.S. Murugadoss and produced by Udayanidhi Stalin.

He said his film career spans 13 years and he was awestruck when he realized his exterprising skill through '7am Aruvu'. 'I am happy that the film is a big success. We presented a flick which enthralled the entire world,' he said.

There were people who asked him whether Bodhidharman was a Tamilian or not. He would not like to have a debate on this issue. It was only after a great deal of research that they decided to portray Bodhidharma and related incidents in the film, Suriya explained.

He said they should have equal concern for all the Tamils irrespective of where they lived. '7am Arivu' had a very good reception in Malaysia, Sri Lanka and other countries, he said.

Suriya also revealed that in K.V. Anand's next film 'Maatran', he was given a role, which no other actor had played so far.
