It's a big challenge to act in graphics films, says Surya

  • Actor Surya released the audio of graphics action movie 'Naan Ee', directed by S.S. Rajamouli and produced by Param V. Potluri of PVP Cinema.

Karthi, Parthepan, Bala, Lingusamy, Samuthirakani, Jayendra, UTV Dhananjayan were among others who attended the function.

Addressing the gathering, Surya praised Rajamouli's directorial skills and said all action heroes have acted in films directed by Rajamouli. "I was really stunned by the way the film Magadheera (Maaveeran in Tamil) was made." A great deal of research and deliberations go into Rajamouli's films. He is a man of vision and there is no doubt that 'Naan Ee' is a film for the next generation film lovers, Surya said. An animated housefly plays the hero. That Rajamouli has given minute details like how many species of flies are there and the characteristics of each of them only goes to show that how studious he is, Surya complimented. And, above all, it is a big challenge to act in a computer graphics film, he said.

'Veppam' fame Nani is the protagonist and Kannada actor Sudeep plays the villain. Samantha is the heroine. Santhanam plays a key role.

Maragathamani is the composer, while K.K. Senthilkumar is the cinematographer.
This is Rajamouli's first Tamil film. Animation is mixed with action. Comedy is given importance. The hero, who is killed by the villain, is reborn as a housefly to take revenge. How the tiny fly helped by its mate acts to accomplish the objective of the hero's rebirth is the story.

Rajamouli says the services of animation specialists from America, Russia and Poland have been enlisted for the project.
