Richa Gangopadhyaya is reportedly miffed with director Gautham Menon over his announcement on his social networking page that the actress replaces Abhinaya in 'Tamilselvanum Thaniyaar Anjalum' (TTA). Sai Prem, an associate of Prabhu Deva, directs the film which is to be produced by Gautham Menon's production house.
Gautham's announcement has upset Richa who claims she has not even signed the project yet. She says Gautham Menon has made the announcement in haste and is wondering why.
She tweeted: "I have not yet confirmed my next film venture. Please hold tight before making announcements on my behalf."
TTA, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, stars Jai in Tamil and Nithin in Telugu. Abhinaya, who was to play the lead role in the film, faced the dates problem as the project is getting delayed. According to sources, it was felt that since Richa had done both Tamil and Telugu films, she would the apt choice to replace Abhinaya. Maybe Richa is apprehensive of pairing up with slim Jai in Tamil.
Gautham, who is in London, replied to Richa's tweet and reiterated that she is part of TTA.
Santhanam and VTV Ganesh also form part of the film. Kartik has come up with some lovely tunes.Work on the film, a mix of romance, action and comedy, starts on June 14 after the return of Gautham from London.
