Arunpandian's first film after becoming MLA

- Farmer's sweat is holier than the blood shed by a soldier on the battlefield is the theme of an upcoming film titled 'Devakumaran'. The film highlights the ordeals farmers go through to feed the country and elaborates on the slogan 'Jai Kisan'.
Ram stars in the film. A Kerala beau Anjana debuts as the heroine.
Arunpandian plays an important character. This is his first film after having been elected to the State Assembly last year. Ramana, Singampuli, Cheranraj, Singamuthu, Mayilsamy, Bhanupriya and Monica are among others in the cast.
Bose Santhosh scores the music. He is the son of music director Chandra Bose.
A.R.Kendiran Muniasami, who directs the film, has written the story, screenplay and dialogues. R.G. Murugan and M. Ravichandran produce it on behalf of RGM Pictures.
The film will be shot in Chennai, Tuticorin and Chalakudi
