Actor, singer and composer Shruti Haasan has taken a break from composing songs. She will henceforth focus on acting and singing. She has stated this during a media chat in Chennai.
She said she is acting in three Hindi films. Prabhu Deva directs one of them. It is the remake of Telugu flick 'Nuvvostnante Nenodantana' (Unakkum Enakkum in Tamil).. The film is being shot at a village near Pune in Maharashtra. This is not a Xerox copy of the Telugu movie, she said. Some changes have been made in the script and screenplay to suit the Bollywood style. Prabhu Deva's dancing is a class apart and she feels she is confident of giving a good performance in the Hindi film. She is playing the role of Trisha in the original.
Shruti headed to Bollywood after the success of 'Gabbar Singh', the Telugu remake of 'Dabangg' in Hindi. Cut to Kollywood, she played opposite Suriya in '7am Arivu' and co-starred with Dhanush in '3'. Dhanush's 'Why this Kolaveri di?' song in this movie has become a mass anthem.
Talking about her plans, Shruti said, she is giving priority to acting and singing. She is singing songs for Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films. In addition, she is lending her voice for albums also. Preoccupied as she is with acting and singing, she has postponed music composing.
