• Nagaraja Cholan was the central character played by Sathyaraj in 'Amaidhi Padai' directed by Manivannan. He is making a sequel to this 1974 blockbuster with the title 'Nagaraja Cholan, MA, MLA'.
  
  This is Manivannan's 50th film. He had taken a long break before embarking on the new project'.
  
  Veteran Sathyaraj, whose performance in 'Amaidhi Padai' is still being raved about, and director/actor Seeman are to play the lead roles in 'Nagaraja Cholan'.
  
  Mrithula, Komal Sharma and Varsha are being cast as heroines.
  
  The film will also feature director Manivannan and his son Raghu Manivannan.
  
  James Vasanthan is to score the music.
  
  The film will be shot in and around Coimbatore in one go.
