New Delhi, Nov 20 (IANS) Sony Pictures has announced that it will produced the 3D movie on British band One Direction.
Acclaimed documentary filmmaker Morgan Spurlock of "Super Size Me" fame will direct the film, which TriStar Pictures will release Aug 30, 2013.
"This is an incredible opportunity and an amazing moment in time for the band," said Spurlock in a statement. "To capture this journey and share it with audiences around the world will be an epic undertaking that I am proud to be a part of."
The movie, which will star band members - Niall Horan 19, Liam Payne, 19 , Louis Tomlinson, 20, Harry Styles, 18, and Zayn Malik 19, will track the band's journey to stardom.
One Direction rose to fame after coming third in British singing reality show "The X Factor" in 2010. It later went on to give some great numbers like and "Up all night", "Little things" and "What makes you beautiful".
