• Regent Saimira, a production house has filed a petition at the High Court seeking to stay the release of Vishwaroopam. The complaint says that Kamal Hassan had taken Rs. 4 crore to act in a film titled 'Marmayogi' which never took off. The actors and partners of Raajkamal films have been issued with notices seeking replies before January 3. The production house has stated that Kamal has violated the rules of returning the salary if the actor does not act in the film. Further, they have claimed that Kamal's Unnaipol Oruvan was released only after he paid a sum as security deposit and the original suit is still pending in the court. Now Vishwaroopam too has violated the agreement conditions, they claim.
