Noted director Shyamaprasad recently approached the court against two Kerala Government run theatres for removing his film, Artist from the theatres before it reached the prescribed minimum net collection.
It was alleged that Shyamaprasad's Artist with Fahad Fassil and Ann Augustine was running successfully in the theatres. However, it is alleged that the film was taken off the screen to release Mammootty's Deivathinte Swantham Cleetus.
An aggrieved Shyamaprasad approached the court citing that the film has not touched the hold-over. The court will hear the case on September 23 and till then it is said that the theatres will have to screen the movie Artist.
