'Ghajini' wins Tamil audio war

  • Chennai, Dec 9 (IANS) In the last few months, several albums have been released but it is amazing that not a single album could come anywhere near Harris Jayaraj's music in "Ghajini". For a brief period, "Sivakasi" was there at the top but soon people got weary of the repetitive stuff.

    1. "Ghajini": Music; Harris Jayaraj: When listeners found that there was no zing in the music of "Sivakasi" or "Majaa", songs from "Ghajini" climbed back to the top position.

    2. "Sandakozhi": Music; Yuvan Shankar Raja: This is a new entrant. The album is just released but it appears Yuvan's new album is going to really rock.

    3. "Aaru": Music; Devisri Prasad: In all probability, this new album will stay in this list for some time.

    4. "Sivakasi": Music; Srikanth Deva: After Shankar Mahdevan's "Vaada vaada", a typical Vijay song, it is the "Kodambakkam area" picturised on Vijay and Nayanthara that is a craze. Tippu and Shoba Chandrasekaran (Vijay's mother) crooned the song.

    5. "Majaa": Music; Vidyasagar: There is nothing much to write about this album of Vidyasagar. The song "Che che" is a hit mainly because its picturisation on actors Asin and Vikram.
