• 'Ko' girl Karthika's kin Gauri Nambiar has been introduced as heroine in G.S. Studio production 'Sembatti'. She pairs up with debutant M. Bala. Another debutant I. Ganesh has directed the film. He has worked as an assistant director under Fazil and Siddiq.
  
  The film has the fishermen community and its fraternity in focus to illustrate how an elder brother helps his younger brother who romances a girl and runs into trouble. The film has been shot in the Kurumbanai area in Kanyakumari district.
  
  Gauri Nambiar told mediapesons that her father Raja Vikram and Karthika's mother Radha's husband Rajasekhar are brothers.
  
  Gauri has had her education in Mumbai.
