• Atharvaa-starrer 'Muppozhudum-un-Karpanaigal' will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival 2012. Amala played the heroine.
  
  The festival will be held at Cannes in France from May 16 to May 27.
  
  'Muppozhudumun-Karpanaigal' will be screened on May 22 under the special film category.
  
  Elred kumar, the producer and director of the MUK has been invited to participate in the festival.
  
  What is significant is that choreographer Uday Shankar's 1948 directorial debut, 'Kanchana', restored by (Martin) Scorcese , has been chosen for screening in the Cannes Classics programme.
