'Padavi' is the Tamil version of Telugu hit 'Prasthanam' directed by Deva Katta. It was released in 2010 and has received rave reviews and selected for screening at the International Film Festival in Goa.

Actor Raghava Lawrence's manager Lawrence Prasad is presenting 'Padavi' under the banner of Seventh Sense Movies.

Saikumar plays the character of a politician which he has not done in his 40-year acting career. Introduced as a child actor and then becoming a dubbing artiste, Saikumar has risen to play lead roles and important characters in both Tamil and Telugu films over the last 40 years.

In 'Padavi' (Prasthanam) he teams up with Sharvanand, Ruby Parihar, Vennela Kishore and Sundeep Krishnan. Reshma Gautham and 'Vettaikaran' villain Jeeva are also in the cast. Mahesh Shankar is the composer.
The film is a family drama with a mix of politics.
