'Sivaji' still the boss among Tamil films

Chennai, Aug 21 (IANS) More than one-and-a-half-months after release, "Sivaji - The Boss" still holds top position and hasn't been challenged by any other movie - except once by "Kireedam".
The top five Tamil films are:
1. "Sivaji - The Boss" - Director: Shankar. Rajnikant at 58 is still the unconquered king of Tamil cinema. Should we say anything more about 'the boss'?
2. "Arya" - Director: Balasekhar. This Madhavan-Bhavana starrer is a typical 'masala' entertainer. The question is whether it really entertains them! Prakash Raj is awesome in the film, as usual.
3. "Kireedam" - Director: Vijay. The film had a rebirth with a new end but the change has not made any worthwhile difference. Though it is a hit, collections are now beginning to dip.
4. "Veerappu" - Director: Badri. This remake of a Mohanlal hit has done wonders for director Sundar C's career and he has now decided to concentrate on acting.
5. "Pallikoodam" - Director: Thankar Bachan. Though not as good as Bachan's last film "Azhagi", "Pallikoodam" is different from the usual Tamil films. It is endearing and nostalgic.
