'Thirappu Vizha' is the maiden directorial venture of K.G. Veeramani, who has assisted Director Hari in the making of films like 'Seval', 'Singam', and 'Vengai'.
Veeramani has introduced a new face, Jaya Anand, as the hero in 'Thirappu Vizha'. Pairing up with him is Manishajith, who played the female lead in 'Nanbargal Gavanathirkku'. She started her career as a child artiste. G.M. Kumar plays a key role. The film has also Manobala and 'Pasanga' Sivakumar in the cast.
M. Zerina Begam is producing the film on behalf of Infor Films.
The film revolves around a youth who lost his sleep to wake up a village of downtrodden people and develop it with the help of his lover.
Vasanthan Ramesh is the music director. The story and dialogues are by Rabi and the screenplay is by director Veeramani.
According to unit sources, Veeramani is endeavoring to complete the film in a single schedule. He plans to start the shooting in Vriddhachalam and continue in Neyveli and Veeranam.
