  Young Tiger has always wanted to be Tollywood's Badshah. In the wake of Mohan Babu's statement that Junior is the best actor among the current crop of actors, the title change constitutes a conscious effort to position the Oosaravelli star as a king in his own right.
  
  It is said that the actor was not very keen on retaining Action for the movie. The makers, therefore, tried hard to find a better title. With Badshah striking favorably with NTR's fans, they will stick to it. The film sees Kajal Agarwal as the heroine. Thaman is scoring the music for the second time for an NTR film (Brindavanam was the first film in their combo). KV Guhan is the cinematographer.
