- Manchu Manoj has said that Mr. Nookayya has had the highest openings among all films of his career. He thanked the director (Ani) and the cinematographer for making it a "hit".
The film was released on March 8, and since it was the Holi day, folks thronged the theatres in good numbers. The other movie which made big money on that day was Poola Rangadu, say trade pundits.
Starring Kriti Karbanda, Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore, Sana Khan and Raja, the film appeals to a section of front benchers, thanks to some elements like lewdness. Though the film has not receive encouraging reviews, Manoj's stunts and Yuvan's music seem to be going well with some sections, say observers.
