A day ago, Teja s producer asked the distributors and exhibitors of NNDD to immediately withdraw the film from theatres. The director intends to reshoot the climax and make some changes here and there. Consequently, it seems, he discovered that the dashes in the film's title are not in good taste and might be keeping the family audience from watching his drama.
That's why, quite unexpectedly, he has decided to rechristen his film. By removing the dashes and calling it just Neeku Naku, which will be released on May 4, he hopes to give it a fresh image and strip it of its double meaning. God knows what he is going to do with the very many scenes in which Nanditha uses the word dash.
What this clearly shows is that Teja is not in tune with the times. What kind of a 'maverick' filmmaker changes the title of a film after its release? Just goes to show his inability to gauge the audience pulse.
